While it may sound straightforward in theory, connecting these three actors – Science, Business, and Universities – is often challenging in practice. Within the Capacity2Transform (C2T) project, it’s especially important to bring them together. This collaboration is key for making progress in our goals of going digital and green, therefore, we are excited about collaborating with BSOs, educational and research institutions, innovation agencies, thematic clusters, and representatives from local and regional governments.
Most innovations that drive our society are based on new knowledge or new applications of existing knowledge. Universities play a pivotal role as hubs of knowledge creation and dissemination. Through cutting-edge research and academic expertise, universities generate valuable insights that have the potential to revolutionize industries. However, for these discoveries to realize their full potential, effective collaboration with businesses is essential.
Businesses bring to the table resources, infrastructure, and real-world market insights that complement the theoretical knowledge generated by universities. By partnering with academic institutions, businesses gain access to the latest research findings, innovative technologies, and skilled talent pool, enabling them to stay ahead in today’s competitive landscape.
Moreover, collaboration between universities and businesses facilitates knowledge transfer, where academic research is translated into practical applications and commercial products.
